Partners
In an increasingly interconnected world, the power of partnerships stands out as a fundamental cornerstone for achieving impactful and sustainable outcomes. For organizations like ours, forging strong partnerships is not just a strategic choice; it's a vital necessity that amplifies our mission's reach and depth.
Values
This is a space to share more about the business: who's behind it, what it does and what this site has to offer. It’s an opportunity to tell the story behind the business or describe a special service or product it offers. You can use this section to share the company history or
highlight a particular feature that sets it apart from competitors. Let the writing speak for itself. Keep a consistent tone and voice throughout the website to stay true to the brand image and give visitors a taste of the company’s values and personality.
Vision
We envision a Nevada where all communities—regardless of immigration status, race, gender, income, or background—have the freedom and resources to thrive. A state where our schools are safe and inclusive, our workplaces are fair and just, and our economy uplifts every working family.
We believe in a future rooted in solidarity, where those most affected by injustice lead the way toward a society built on equity, compassion, and collective power.
Mission
Make the Road Nevada builds the power of Latine and working-class communities to achieve dignity and justice through organizing, policy innovation, and transformative civic engagement.
We empower immigrant, LGBTQ+, and low-income Nevadans by advancing policies that protect families, expand opportunities, and dismantle systemic barriers to equity.
Our
Story
Make the Road Nevada started on October 1, 2017, in the aftermath of the largest mass shooting in modern history: the Route 91 Harvest Festival massacre. Make the Road Nevada worked tirelessly to ensure that undocumented immigrants who were victims of this received the help and support they needed to heal, including assistance in applying for U-Visas. Despite facing barriers in the immigration process, Make the Road Nevada members successfully met with the Clark County Sheriff to tell their stories and advocate for their community's needs.
As a result, the Sheriff's office has quadrupled staffing in the U-Visa department and approved more than 67 U-Visa applications for Make the Road Nevada members. This work demonstrates the importance of advocacy and community support in ensuring that underserved populations receive the care and justice they deserve.
