The Issues
Make The Road Nevada is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Latine and working-class communities of color in Nevada. Through grassroots organizing, policy innovation, and transformative education, they address critical issues such as immigrant justice, health equity, economic justice, housing justice, environmental justice, youth justice, and LGBTQ+ justice. Their initiatives include providing bilingual affordable housing resources, advocating for professional license reforms to support undocumented immigrants, and engaging youth in leadership and advocacy through the Youth Power Project. By informing, empowering, and mobilizing community members, Make The Road Nevada strives to create a more just and equitable society.
About Make the Road Nevada: Make the Road Nevada is a non-profit organization based in Las Vegas, Reno, and rural areas in Nevada. Our family of organizations hail from the East Coast, where they have changed the face of community organizing in immigrant communities and become an immutable force for good. The states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania all bear the fruits of our work, and now Make the Road is ready to make a difference in our communities on the West Coast.
Our vision for Nevada focuses on building a strong grassroots foundation across the state that is centered around elevating the power of working-class immigrant communities in every community around the state.
We do this by informing, empowering, and mobilizing our community to take action on important issues that directly affect their families and loved ones.
